- 1898 - Konstanty Rudzki established the bridge and steel construction company under the name Konstanty Rudzki i Spółka (Konstanty Rudzki & Company). The company's activity included bridge constructions, roof truss, steam boilers and a wide selection of iron casting services.
- 1898-1919 - the company delivered several thousand meters of steel railway and road bridge constructions, over 2 million meters of pipes and 600 water supply systems. Bridges over: the Volga river - 2576m, the Amur river - 2598m, the Yenisei river - 2556m
- Period after WWI - introduction of new products into the company's portfolio: production of water turbines (including the first 1000kM turbine in Poland) and steel radio towers measuring 127m for Transatlantic Central in Warsaw.
- 1920s - construction of the most novel at that time machines, including gantry cranes with lifting capacity 50t and span of 20m for heat and power station in Łódź and harbour cargo cranes for the newly developing harbour in Gdynia.
- 1928-1929 - construction of the first entirely welded bridge in the world over the Słudwia river near the town of Łowicz.
- 1930-1939 - the company develops and fulfils numerous orders. Products exported to Mexico, China and other Far East countries.
- End of the 1940s - upgrade and extension of the plant. The company changed its name to: FABRYKA URZĄDZEŃ DŹWIGOWYCH, state-owned Enterprise.
- 1990s - time of transformation and ownership changes. In 1995 FABRYKA URZĄDZEŃ DŹWIGOWYCH Spółka Akcyjna (joint-stock company) was established.
- Beginning of the 2000 - Kingfisher Technology Corporation Ltd. acquires controlling interest of FUD SA from the investment funds and the State Treasury.
- Since 2005 - 90% of FUD SA shares owned by Mr. Bogusław Szulc, his family and the Management Board.
- Since 2018 - the majority of FUD's shares have been purchased by a Polish financial investor, together with the new Management of the Board.
